Government and Defence have enacted a series of measures to reduce and slow the risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreading within the Australian Community. The AAC program is undertaken within the community and the Army and Community partnership is at its core. It has been assessed that, at this time, the greatest contribution the AAC can make to our Nation is to suspend all community-based and public cadet activities in order to assist in slowing the spread of COVID-19. This measure will assist in protecting both the wider community and those members of the AAC who are assessed as potentially vulnerable (ie. over 30% of AAC members are in the vulnerable category due to age or specific pre-existing medical conditions).
The following activities are suspended:
Suspensions take affect at midnight (2359hrs) on 16 Mar 20.
These suspension remain in force until 1 May, after which additional constraints may continue to be applied.
