Recently we have been inundated with a number of questions regarding the payment of annual fees for 2016. I would like to apologise for the lack of information regarding these fees, and therefore hope to clear this up.
Annual fees for 31 ACU are $250.00 per cadet. This fee covers a number of items/services that we use for cadet activities that are not covered by the Australian Defence Force such as transportation, food & equipment maintenance/purchases.
The fee can be paid in full at the 31 ACU orderly room via cash or cheque. Unfortunately we do not have the ability to facilitate EFTPOS or Direct Deposit transactions at this time. Cheques are to be made out to “31 Army Cadet Unit” as non-negotiable. Both cheques and cash need to be put into an envelope with the cadets full name and rank, what the money is for (Annual Fee) and the amount enclosed ($250.00). The envelope can then be put into the letter box on the front desk, and a receipt will be made out and put in the receipt folder next to the letter box.
Families with multiple cadets in the unit may discuss with the OC and Treasurer the total amount of the fees owing, as we do understand that this can be a lot of money at times. Similarly if you are having troubles with paying the full amount, please do not hesitate to come and speak with our staff. We are more then happy to accommodate payment plans and other needs, however we do need to be aware of this and it must be discussed with the treasurer so there is full understanding.
I intend to have a minute released with this information this Thursday so all cadets also have a hard copy for their records. However if you do have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch using our contact form, live chat or via email below.
Kind Regards,
